🌿 Old Trees With New Growth 🌿

Dear Friends,

I never thought when I quieted my blog two years ago, (with the exception of a few gazette posts) that I would return; a lot can happen in your writing life over that amount of time when things seemingly feel dormant. It was during this time of dormancy that allowed for the growing and the flowering of my soul.

Truly, since January 2021, I have grown more in my faith and relationship with Jesus, our Lord than I ever have in all the other seasons of my life. Girlhood, teenage years, womanhood, mothering and now I find myself just past midlife and coming into my own.

My own, a place where the bear hibernate, a place of N3 sleep as scientists call it, a place where man has not yet explored, simply because he can't, a solitude of mind, a sweet peace that pours over me, that only you know and yet makes no sense.

My own, a place that is unattainable outside of knowing and committing our life over to the King. We can feel we have reached the attainable, but it is only a reflection, a self-made reality that comes unless we are following Jesus.

The beautiful winding path that dips into deep valleys and crests over mountains, through dry places and woodland, over old trees with new growth, by streams, the path disappearing when we meet the waters edge, we step down, footing is made easy as we walk slow, toes feel the smooth stones beneath and we crawl scraped hands and knees out onto the bank, we lay in the grass and rest awhile, staring into the blue sky, white fluffy clouds drifting by and we are warmed by the Son.

Breathe Deep

Come, ready yourself for a journey with me through the valleys and the hills of life, let's travel the road together.

being on these social media platforms feel clownish at times, are a time waster and I am not a hoop jumper!

I simply want my words to gently and lovingly land in your inbox.

See you soon!
