The Simple Woman's Daybook (September 2022 Edition)

    For Today

Looking out my window...

I am thinking... how quiet it is without the birdsong

I am thankful... for our home

One of my favorite things... this picture that captures a long past moment. It is so special to me and reminds me of the many years I spent deep in motherhood

I am wearing... black capris, green short-sleeve tunic and black sandals

I am creating... time in the week to bake bread

I am watching... a bit of the Hallmark channel. I like the autumn theme :-)

I am reading... these two once again. You can never have too much Priscilla Shirer during your quiet time!

I am listening to... worship music that most often plays in the kitchen while I work there

I am hoping... the season of autumn moves slowly

In the garden... this beautiful Mother's Day gift from my son that is doing so well

In the kitchen... chia pudding and my slight addiction to pasta shapes

In the homeschool room... crazy 8's and old maid card games

Shared Quote

"If I were your enemy, I'd seek to dim your passion, dull your interest in spiritual things, dampen your belief in God's ability and His personal concern for you, and convince you that the hope you've lost is never coming back--and was probably just a lie to begin with."

~from Fervent

A moment from my day... looking forward to getting back to the sewing machine soon
