The May/June Edition of The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today

Looking out my window... I never, ever grow tired of seeing the lilac bush.

I am thinking... this kitchen project is taking longer than expected. Phase one was the tear out, strip down and declutter. Hoping next daybook I will be able to show you the finished work.

I am thankful... for past generations of women who cared enough to teach and to pass it on.

One of my favorite things... buying that yearly Blue Ball Canning book.

I am wearing... black capri pants, gray tank and loose gray long-sleeve over top.

I am creating... this year's garden plan and laughing out loud to myself that it is twice the size of last year.

I am watching... not much, but in the evenings sometimes YouTube healthy recipe videos.

I am reading... and studying the book of Nehemiah in the Bible.

I am listening to... lovely silence.

I am hoping
... to continue all of the planting I have to do, but only after this cold snap gives up.

I am learning... the more things change the more they stay the same.

In the kitchen... well, you can imagine...living with the mess.

If you missed my study series entitled, HomeMaking...more than dishes and laundry. I will also be listing them on the sidebar in order for easy access. I pray it is a blessing to you.

  1. I love all of your flowers! I too am hoping to work on the garden soon, after some of the cold lets up. Our weather keeps alternating between warm and cold. My poor plants are so confused! Good luck with your kitchen remodel!

  7. I thought I’d linked up in May, but maybe I put my May post in Feb by accident so here we are again. Lilac season is one of my favourite seasons.
