The Simple Woman's Daybook {May Edition}

For Today

Looking out my window... that precious morning light that always holds promise.

I am thinking... about the upcoming semi-annual retreat to the lake with my girls.

I am thankful... for birthdays

One A few of my favorite things... my new Bible with the wide margins,

when I am able to attend a ladies retreat,

and always a simulcast with Priscilla Shirer...all in the same week.

I am wearing... a sporty top and bottom and my new pair of Skechers and thinking why didn't I get a pair years ago!

I am creating... a sweet little spot for that Sashiko piece I shared with you months ago. Oh, how I love how it turned out!

I am wanting to watch... this.

I am reading... How To Read Nature by Tristan Gooley

and a few more from the *New* book section of the library

I am listening to... this

I am hoping and praying... we can find some help for my son's knee pain.

I am learning... the fun of imperfection

In the kitchen... and from the oven, fresh garden asparagus drizzled with olive oil and sliced lemon

A moment from my day...

I am so glad that winter is over, but how pretty it's final day was just a few weeks ago.

  1. Enjoyed your day book very much!

  2. I love reading these posts every month and of course, participating, too! Your books you got from the library look fantastic - I'm going to see if my library has some of them.

  3. This sounds delicious! - "fresh garden asparagus drizzled with olive oil and sliced lemon"
Winter can seem long sometimes but what a beautiful picture!
Those books look interesting. That's something I forgot to share. Guess I'll wait till next month. :) Blessings to you! Thanks for the lovely linkup!

  4. I love that gray top, Peggy! You would look adorable in it. And your fresh asparagus from the garden drizzled with olive oil...oh my! I love asparagus.
