welcome to the simple woman's daybook...where every day is a blank page

The Simple Woman's Daybook {March Edition}

For Today

Looking out my window... a chilly, but sunny day.

I am thinking... about reading a few Joan Anderson books.

It seems fitting since my word for the year is "stretch".

I am thankful... for the moon and it's beauty.

One of my favorite things... nearing the end of a project with lots of color.

I am wearing... navy leggings, navy workout top and bare feet

I am creating... a filled pantry.

I am watching... the second season of Grace & Frankie

I am reading... this book for the third time. Some books you go to again and again when you know the time is just right and the need is strong.

I am listening to... this and this  and this because the concert was that good and the afterglow feels even better and you just want to remember those memories made with your girls! Oh! and this one is on my playlist too. You know, it's all about being true to yourself and I might miss my time in Colorado and want more.

I am hoping... for a slow Spring.

I am learning... that you just have to continue moving forward even if the steps are tiny.

In the kitchen... always a cup of something hot to greet the morning.

  1. Peggy, I love all of the colors of your thread. It would cheer me up to just take a peek into it several times a day! :) xx

    1. Thank you, Dianna. The color is nice on those colorless days.

  2. Thanks for sharing a glimpse into your days! I love reading (even though I'm completely failing at my reading goals for the year so far.) I really enjoyed your pictures, especially the one with all the blues and whites in it from your Pinterest board. Spring has already come to the southwest and we are enjoying the budding of trees, the sprouting up of new branches on the rose bushes and longer and more frequent sunny days.
This past year I traded in my oft-used hashtag #PlateSpinner and started adopting a lifestyle that supports the new tag #NoLongerAPlateSpinner and I used your blog as part of my inspiration. I learned almost too late that your children grow up before you can blink your eyes and too soon it seems they are grown and gone. I want to savor the moments that are left while some of them are still at home. Thanks for the motivation!

    1. I appreciate that very much, Kristy. Thank you for letting me know. Blessings!

  3. I love reading your daybook every month, Peggy. And I now enjoy creating my own! Thank you for the inspiration.

    1. I enjoyed reading your daybook and wanted to say, Welcome to the community!

  4. Oops, PS - meant to tell you also, that I love Joan Anderson's books. There's still a couple I haven't read. I'm going to see if my library has them and if not, perhaps I will order online.

    1. Yes, I enjoy them too. I want you to know though that I will not be holding the book club that I mentioned. After giving it further thought (which I should have done before mentioning it here) it just will not work out at this time. Thank you for your interest. I did change it in my daybook to reflect the change.

  5. I read "A Year by the Sea" several years ago. I didn't know Anderson had other titles. I will be looking for them. Thank you!

  6. I always love a visit to your page. I always feel like I have stopped by a friends house for a visit. I also have tried to viist everyones pages and leave them a comment from me.

  7. Peggy, your Daybooks are so much fun! I think they are especially helpful to new bloggers who don't know what to write about!

  8. Well, it's April 1st but here is my March Daybook. I really do enjoy doing this each month. Now to get more pictures on my page!
